HOW LONG DO PREORDERS TAKE?
Products may be listed as available for preorder up to 3 weeks before they are expected to be ready, however, additional delays may occur.
DO YOU HAVE SAMPLES OF X?
As a small batch artisan, there is little point in making them, both because of the cost, and because the 40ml bottles are usually sold out by the time samples have reached the customer. With that said, there may occasionally be a few mls left after a new batch. Please enquire by DM.
IS X FOR MEN OR WOMEN?
Rivendare perfumes are firmly in the artistic-artisanal category. This means they should be approached less as an accessory for yourself (or loved one), and more like paying to see an art exhibition. If the experience captivates you, it is money well spent, regardless of your gender, politics, or anything else. Art is for everybody!
CAN YOU MAKE MORE OF X?
While I apologise to those who feel they have missed out on previous works, these fragrances are exceedingly difficult to make. None of them are something that can be whipped up quickly by any means, but rest assured that I am working hard to restock previous perfumes (where possible) as well as creating new ones.
WHY ARE THE BATCHES SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT?
Unlike big corporations that only reformulate to maximise profits, with artisanal perfumery, batches are a feature, not a flaw. I only ever make changes in order to produce the best possible result with what is currently available. Natural materials have seasonality and are unpredictable, especially the rare ones. Every time a batch is made, it must be uniquely tailored to the materials, not simply 'following the recipe'.
CAN I GET BATCH 01 OF X?
Please don't place an unneccessary emphasis on the batch numbers. These are mostly for reference, and a bit of extra fun for the most discerning individuals. Ultimately, if the formula were to stray too significantly from the original, I would choose to retire it, so rest assured every batch will be of just as great quality as the first.
DO I NEED TO REST MY PERFUME?
Yes. Mail shock is a real phenomenon in which heat and agitation increases solubility of some ACs more than others, affecting relative vapor curves. Even when brought back to stable conditions, reversion is not instantaneous, and the liquid may be noticably lighter/clearer for the first 1-2 days, with an altered scent profile. Resting at room temperature for 2 days is recommended for the most accurate experience.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO DO?
Take a video of yourself opening the package, as in the case of breakage, refunds will not be issued without appropriate evidence. After resting, as with all natural products, the perfume should be patch tested to prevent adverse reactions. Lastly, the perfume should be stored at room temperature, low humidity, and out of direct sunlight to be enjoyed for years to come.
